Our Vision

MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANO - A HEALTHY MIND IN A HEALTHY BODY

Athletic development of an average child significantly declines at a certain age. Between an intense period of peewee leagues and sport-specific college recruiting, there is a gap in time when parents seem to become temporarily exhausted. This usually occurs in higher grades of elementary school, throughout middle school. Less direct parental supervision is required, children’s interests shift, and friends start having stronger influence on their choices than the parents. On the other hand, paying for what seem to be investments with no return may cause financial hardships, transportation arrangements may be difficult due to parents’ work, or simply, parents’ enthusiasm may fade if their child has not exhibited significant talent for the sport of their choice.
Unfortunately, “dropping the ball” occurs at the most sensitive period of a young life, when a child begins to suffer from insecurities, social anxiety, adaptation to the new body and new self, often not much to their liking, and goes through hormonal and emotional roller-coaster.
Fortunately, sport provides that much needed realignment. What we are offering is a healthy physical activity through volleyball, tailored to your student’s young age and zero-skill level. Besides technical skills, we work to instill the confidence, discipline and sportsmanship, which are critical traits for any success in life, on and off the court - all while having fun.
“MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANO” is a Latin proverb that means “A healthy mind in a healthy body”. Building healthy communities starts with supporting healthy development of our kids.
